Spent 40 minutes watching pigeons fight over a breadcrumb at the park today. 10/10 would recommend. This is the content I signed up for.
The pigeons in our park have more drama than most TV shows
Brought my grandmother's biscotti to the last meetup and three people asked for the recipe. Nonna would be so proud. Might start a "Nonna's Corner" at every gathering.
I was skeptical about a "do nothing" club. Then I realized I hadn't put my phone down for fun in months. First session and I actually heard birds. Like, really heard them.
This was exactly my experience too. The birds hit different when you're actually listening
Welcome to the club, Sam! The birds only get better from here
The chai at Saturday's meetup was unreal. Who made that cardamom one? I need to know your secrets. Also, the clouds were particularly excellent that day — solid 8.5/10.
My therapist asked what I do for self-care and I said "I go to a club where we sit and do nothing" and she was genuinely impressed. Prescribed more of it.
Snack report from last week's backyard session: homemade nimbu pani (10/10), store-bought cookies (solid 7), and Marco's biscotti (off the charts). Planning to make masala chai for the next one.
Today's cloud report: 6/10, mostly clear with one really ambitious cirrus formation that looked like it was trying to spell something. Possibly "relax."
Community Guidelines (kept short, like everything here)
Be kind. Everyone here is trying to slow down. Meet them where they are.
No selling, pitching, or networking. This is a hustle-free zone. Save the business cards for somewhere else.
Ask before photographing. Some people come here specifically to be invisible for a while.
Share the snacks. Metaphorically and literally. Generosity is the vibe.
Leave it better. Clean up after gatherings. Leave people feeling lighter than you found them.
